Why do I really need Security on WordPress?

Security is one of the most important aspect of any WordPress installation. Not having proper security is like leaving your front door open all the time. Why do I need monitoring? Isn’t setting up a firewall enough?

Having great firewall & security setup will make your site hard to penetrate but not impossible. Think of this as setting up a high wall with security cameras and guard tower. Would you want to leave guard tower and camera monitoring room empty?

What’s included in monitoring?

Two things. 1. Everyday, there’s at least one notification that’s generated by the site. This contains information on what’s going on that may need attention. While in most cases, it just tells you everything is ok but in case it’s not, this email must be read & processed everyday in order to take action when needed. 2. Every quarter, you’ll get a report from us regarding your security & scan result. This report is a great way for you to be assured that everything is well with your site in terms of security.

Terms & Conditions, aka boring details…

Turnaround time for all setup is typically within 3 days. Based on issue of the site, this setup time can be delayed. At all times, we are not responsible for any content loss or loss of work. It is user’s responsibility to maintain backup of all content in order to be protected. We will be happy to help you setup and give you recommendation on what kinds of backups you should be using.

Existing Issues. If site is currently hacked and having an issue, it may result in additional cost and/or delayed processing time. If there is any pre-existing issues, we’ll work with you to resolve the issue.

Payment Terms. All payment for WP services must be paid on order. Once work is completed, all setup cost is non-refundable. Pro-rated refund is available for annual contract which will be calculated after current month’s end. Regular setup fee within annual contract is non-refundable.

Hosting. There’s never a contract with us. You can cancel your hosting at any time. If you request refund within first 15 days, you’ll get full refund. Afterwards, there will be pro-rated refunds after following monthly cycle. If you need to change optional items (email plans), pro-rated amount will be credited to your account toward hosting or any future services. If you cancel all services, amount paid toward email plans will not be refunded. Fair Use on all accounts. No SPAMS or major newsletter operation (max 100 emails/hour/domain) Storage limit of 5G per account which is ample for typical/simple business site. (Video or High Resolution image hosting will require additional space) E-Commerce site hosting fee is 50/500 with 300 email/hr and 10G storage limit.
